GENOPOLE’S SCIENTIFIC POTENTIAL IS BUILT UPON NOT ONLY ITS 17 ACADEMIC LABORATORIES BUT ALSO A SOLID SCIENTIFIC NETWORK. UNIVERSITY OF ÉVRY: A MAJOR CENTER FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH IN SOUTH ÎLE-DE-FRANCE The University of Évry is a member of GIP Genopole. It supervises or co-supervises 10 of the 17 labora- tories at the biocluster. It is furthermore a part of Paris-Saclay University and renowned for its quality research, innovative teaching and multidisciplinary training offer. The University of Évry has already trained more than 16,000 students in life sciences. For the 2019-2020 academic year, there are 715 stu- dents enrolled in bachelor, master or doctorate curriculums in biology, systematic biology, synthetic biology, genomics, biotherapies or bioinformatics. GENOPOLE: MEMBER OF ÉVRY-SÉNART SCIENCES AND INNOVATION Évry-Sénart Sciences and Innovation unites actors in higher learning and research from the Grand Paris Sud Urban Area, including Genopole. The primary mission of this interdisciplinary hub is to develop cooperation in training, research and innovation, and to strengthen territory attractiveness. STRONGER TIES WITH HOSPITAL PERSONNEL In 2019, Genopole and the South Île-de-France Medical Center (CHSF) launched the second Call for Innovative Ideas among the hospital’s personnel. These latter are invited to submit their concepts for products or services that would resolve issues they encounter in their medical or paramedical work. The call’s first edition drew eight submis- sions and nine months later the second edition drew 13, demonstrating the innovation potential of the CHSF. The second edition’s seven laureates, named in December 2019, will receive funding and accompaniment from Genopole to make their ideas real as partnership projects within the Genopole ecosystem. This new class, forwarding projects mostly in digital sciences, will further strengthen ties between the CHSF, engineering schools (ENSIIE, Télécom SudParis) and the IBISC laboratory. 31 UN ÉCOSYSTÈME EN INTERACTION LE POTENTIEL SCIENTIFIQUE DE GENOPOLE REPOSE SUR LES 17 LABORATOIRES ACADÉMIQUES DU BIOCLUSTER, MAIS ÉGALEMENT SUR UN RÉSEAU SCIENTIFIQUE SOLIDE. L’UNIVERSITÉ D’ÉVRY, PÔLE MAJEUR DE RECHERCHE ET D’ENSEIGNEMENT SUPÉRIEUR SUD-FRANCILIEN Membre du GIP Genopole, l‘Université d’Évry assure la tutelle ou la cotutelle de 10 laboratoires parmi les 17 que concentre le biocluster. Elle est membre associé de l’Université Paris-Saclay et reconnue pour la qualité de sa recherche, l’innovation pédagogique et la pluridisciplinarité de son offre de formation. En sciences du vivant, elle a déjà formé plus de 16 000 étudiants. En 2019-2020, 715 sont inscrits de la licence au doctorat en biologie, génomique, biologie systémique et synthétique, biothérapies ou encore bio-informatique. GENOPOLE, MEMBRE DU PÔLE ÉVRY-SÉNART SCIENCES ET INNOVATION Évry-Sénart Sciences et Innovation (ESSI) réunit les acteurs de l’enseignement supé- rieur et de la recherche de l’agglomération Grand Paris Sud, dont Genopole. Ce pôle interdisciplinaire a pour mission principale de développer des coopérations en forma- tion, recherche et innovation et de renforcer l’attractivité du territoire. DES LIENS RENFORCÉS AVEC LE MILIEU MÉDICAL Genopole et le CHSF ont lancé en 2019 le 2e Appel à idées innovantes, appelant le personnel de l’hôpital à soumettre, en solo ou en équipe, une idée de produits, services ou procédés qui résoudrait un problème rencontré dans leur pratique médicale ou paramédicale. Neuf mois après la 1re édition recueillant huit candidatures, les 13 dossiers reçus témoignent du potentiel d’innovation du CHSF. Désignés en décembre 2019, sept lau- réats bénéficient d’un financement et d’un accompagnement de Genopole pour concrétiser leur idée en projet collaboratif de recherche au sein de l’écosystème Genopole. Cette nouvelle promotion, aux projets relevant essentiellement des sciences du numérique, contribue à ren- forcer les liens entre l’hôpital, les écoles d’ingénieurs (ENSIIE, Télécom SudParis) et le laboratoire Informatique, BioInformatique et Systèmes Complexes.
