La répartition thématique (voir page 23) des entreprises de Genopole confirme la prééminence du secteur de l’innovation médicale (40 %). Le domaine de la santé est également représenté par les sociétés de services (14 %). Pour autant, la part du médical a tendance à baisser au profit d’autres champs d’exploration, notamment ceux des biotechnologies de l’environnement et de l’agro-industrie (18 %). Les biotechnologies dites industrielles et de bioproduction, couvrant un large éventail d’applications (santé, énergie, environnement, alimentation...) affichent une légère progression de 6 à 8 % entre 2017 et 2018.
The sector distribution (see page 23) of Genopole companies confirms the preeminence of medical innovation (40%) at the biocluster. A number of service providers (14%) are also active in the healthcare sector. Nonetheless, the dominance of healthcare does appear to be shrinking in favor of other sectors, particularly environmental and agro-industrial biotech (18%). The category comprising industrial and bioproduction biotechnologies, which covers a wide range of applications (health, energy, the environment, nutrition, etc.), progressed slightly, from 6% in 2017 to 8% in 2018.
