LES ATIGES POUR OUVRIR DE NOUVEAUX CHAMPS DE RECHERCHE ATIGES, TO OPEN NEW FIELDS OF RESEARCH
Les Atiges (Actions Thématiques Incitatives de Genopole) offrent à de jeunes chercheurs statutaires, ou en voie d’être recrutés au sein d’un organisme de recherche public, des moyens financiers pour créer et animer une nouvelle équipe de recherche au sein d’un laboratoire du site Genopole. Les bénéficiaires sont sélectionnés par un comité scientifique à l’issue d’un appel à candidatures annuel, après examen d’un dossier présentant leur projet de recherche. Ils perçoivent 250 k€ sur 3 ans avec possibilité de financer des aides techniques, ingénieurs ou post-doctorants. Depuis leur lancement en 2001, les Atiges ont contribué à enrichir le biocluster de nouvelles thématiques scientifiques de façon pérenne, puisque plus de la moitié des bénéficiaires sont restés à Genopole, où ils sont devenus responsables d’équipe ou directeurs d’unité.
The Atiges are meant for young researchers with public institution training or those being recruited in a public research institute. An Atige grant provides them with the financial means necessary for forming a new research team in a biocluster laboratory. The beneficiaries are selected from a yearly call for candidates, after the appraisal of their project dossiers by a scientific committee. They receive €250,000 over three years with the possibility of financing technical equipment, engineers or postdocs.
Since their launch in 2001, The Atiges have enriched the biocluster with new scientific themes in a lasting manner, since more than half of the beneficiaries have remained at Genopole or become team heads or unit directors.

Depuis 2001, 27 Atiges (dont une financée par l'AFM-Téléthon
et une par Fondagen) ont été mises en place par Genopole pour
un montant total de 6,5 M€. Sur 22 Atiges terminées fin 2018,
12 ont quitté le biocluster après plusieurs années de présence,
7 ont été maintenues dans leur laboratoire d’accueil et 3 ont créé
une nouvelle équipe de recherche à Genopole grâce au dispositif. SABNP est le 1er laboratoire constitué en 2007 par l’Atige Patrick Curmi, aujourd’hui président de l’Université d’Évry. Anne Galy a
pu aussi lancer ses recherches à Généthon puis créer l’UMR Integrare en 2009 à l’aide de l’Atige. Ses travaux aboutissent aux premiers succès de thérapie génique. Brigitte Onteniente a formé 35 grâce à l’Atige une nouvelle unité à I-Stem puis créé l’entreprise Phenocell à Genopole en 2013.
Since 2001, 27 Atiges (including one financed by AFM-Telethon and another by Fondagen) have been deployed by Genopole for a cumulative total of €6.5 million. Of the 22 Atiges completed as of year-end 2018, 12 have left the biocluster after several years there, 7 were maintained in the host lab, and 3 have created a new research team at Genopole thanks to the program. SABNP was the first lab created in 2007 by Atige recipient Patrick Curmi, who is now the president of the University of Évry. With Atige aid, Anne Galy launched her research within Genethon then created the mixed research unit Integrare in 2009. Her work has produced its first successes in the setting of gene therapy. An Atige grant made it possible for Brigitte Onteniente to create a new I-Stem unit then a new business, Phenocell, at Genopole in 2013.
