MARS VERS UN VACCIN INDIVIDUALISÉ MARCH Traaser développe des logiciels pour la médecine personnalisée. La société Transgene l’associe au projet Neoviva, qui vise la conception d’un vaccin individualisé capable de stimuler les défenses immunitaires des patients pour détruire les tumeurs. Traaser est chargée d’interpréter les données de séquençage d’ADN des patients pour guider et sécuriser l’exploitation des résultats d’intelligence artificielle destinés à la personnalisation des vaccins. Neoviva obtient une aide de 5,2 M€ du Programme d’Investissements d’Avenir opéré par Bpifrance. TOWARD INDIVIDUALIZED VACCINES The biotech company Transgene brought Traaser, a developer of informatics for personalized medicine, on board for its project Neoviva. This latter is aimed at developing individualized vaccines able to stimulate the immune systems of patients against tumors. Traaser will interpret patient DNA sequencing data to guide and secure the use of results derived from arti- ficial intelligence for the personalization of vaccines. Neoviva obtained €5.2 million in support from the Investissements d’Avenir program piloted by Bpifrance. MARS MARCH LA CHIMIE DU VIVANT DÉVOILE SON POTENTIEL ! Ces composés, présents dans près de 40 % des substances actives des médicaments, pourraient ainsi être produits par une voie alternative, plus durable que la chimie conventionnelle. The organic chemistry and biocatalyst team within the Genomics Metabolics lab (Genoscope) discovered a family of natural enzymes able to catalyze the synthesis of chiral amines. Their discovery opens a door to alternative and more sustainable methods for the production of chiral amines, used in close to 40% of active pharmaceutical ingredients. L’essai clinique inclura des patients atteints de tumeurs solides avancées. PEP-THERAPY TO LAUNCH CLINICAL TRIALS PEP-Therapy, a company developing therapeutic pep- tides for oncology, announced the successful conclusion of its regulatory toxicity studies for its drug candidate PEP-010 and the progression of this latter to phase I clinical trials in partnership with the Curie and Gustave- Roussy Institutes. The initial clinical trials will enroll patients with advanced solid tumors. 8 MARS STÉPHANE BEAUDET PRÉSIDE GENOPOLE MARCH Stéphane Beaudet, maire d’Évry-Courcouronnes, vice-président de la Région Île-de-France et premier vice-président de l’agglomération Grand Paris Sud, est élu pour trois ans président de l’Assemblée géné- rale du GIP (Groupement d’intérêt public) Genopole. L’Assemblée générale délibère notamment sur l’adoption du programme annuel d’activité de Genopole et du budget correspondant. « Continuer de chercher, tester et expérimenter... tout en offrant des perspectives de développement aux investisseurs et entrepreneurs afin que les emplois et la richesse ainsi créés bénéficient à notre territoire, c’est là le défi que je veux porter ! » déclare Stéphane Beaudet le jour de sa nomination. STÉPHANE BEAUDET ELECTED PRESIDENT OF GENOPOLE Stéphane Beaudet, mayor of Évry-Courcouronnes, vice-president of the Île-de-France Administrative Region and first vice-president of the Grand Paris Sud Urban Area, was elected as president of the general assembly of GIP Genopole (GIP: Groupement d’intérêt public, a form of public-private partnership for mis- sions of public interest). He will serve three years as the president of the general assembly, which deliberates notably the adoption of annual activity programs and the corresponding budgets. “Continuing to search, test and experiment (...) while offering perspectives for development to investors and entrepreneurs so that the resulting employment and wealth benefits our territory, that is what I wish to endeavor!” declared Stéphane Beaudet at his nomination.
